Fantasy basketball roster evaluation

A roster full of good players can still leave you short in the same categories. See what your team adds up to, then decide what the next move needs to bring.

What can I explore and control?

Start with your category profile

Look past a single overall grade. Compare your roster's shooting, scoring, threes, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and turnovers.

  • Add players manually or load your connected Yahoo roster.
  • Use preseason projections or an available recent-stat range for your roster.
  • Compare against the clearly labeled, fixed 12-team, 13-player preseason benchmarks.

Find the gap, not just the best name

An extra steals contributor may be valuable without addressing your shortage in assists. Use the category profile to ask what a replacement actually changes.

  • See the median and stronger-quartile reference for each category.
  • Remove or replace a player to inspect the new roster shape.
  • Combine shooting makes and attempts instead of averaging player percentages.

Put your team back in its league

Connected league insights add roster comparisons, category profiles and power rankings. A category that is strong against a general benchmark can still be contested by your actual opponents.

  • Compare the teams you really face, not an imaginary average opponent.
  • Explore trades and additions with the matching league tools.
  • Keep category strategy, roster balance and schedule context together.
Do the benchmarks predict weekly wins?

No. Counting-stat benchmarks add all 13 players' per-game averages, bench included. They are not nightly or weekly totals. The reference comes from 1,680 modeled draft rosters, not 1,680 observed teams. Games played, injuries, active lineup slots, streaming and opponents still determine weekly results.
